About Ringlahendused

An idea that began on a road through South Estonia.

How can better packaging collection connect local people, businesses and the municipality's long-term interest?

After almost 15 years organising packaging collection across Estonia, a thought emerged during a long summer work trip: future collection and recycling could involve more local people and businesses.

Why we do this

Local benefit and better environmental results are not opposites.

A well-designed system can control costs, give local operators a chance to participate, strengthen economic resilience and build community responsibility for sorting waste.

Waste reform gives municipalities an opportunity to move beyond established routines. The question is whether we dare to build a system we can later say was done exceptionally well.
